Nickie Rogers
HEAD SOFTBALL COACH - 1st SEASON
Coach Nickie Rogers is a native of Tuscon, Arizona where she learned to play fastpitch softball and helped her youth travel team win a national championship. Coach Rogers relocated to Georgia at 14 where she played softball and graduated from Dawson County High School.
Coach Rogers signed the first ever NCAA Division 1 Softball Scholarship for Dawson County at Georgia State University. From there, she finished her playing career and earned her degree from North Georgia College. Coach Rogers was a catcher and played 3B for both schools.
After graduation, Coach Rogers returned to teach and coach at Dawson County High School. During her tenure at Dawson County, she started the schools fastpitch softball program. Nickie was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Dawson County for her athletic performance as a student and her contributions to Dawson's fastpitch program. Coach Rogers coached at Dawson from 1995 until 2014.
In the fall of 2014, Coach Rogers became the head coach for Sprayberry High School Fastpitch Softball program. During her tenure at Sprayberry she became a Division II pitching coach for Emmanuel College.
Coach Rogers is excited to be the new Head Coach at Denmark High School and to bring her experience back to the game.
